How it all started
Welcome to Lemon Palms!
Desi has had a passion for design and drawing from a very young age. After earning a degree in Design and beginning a career in the tech industry, she realized something was missing. In her mid-twenties, she decided to follow her heart and purchased her first sewing machine from a second-hand online marketplace. She instantly fell in love with sewing and knew she had found what she was meant to do.
While working in a demanding full-time job, she had limited time to pursue her creative passion. When she eventually lost her job, she unexpectedly felt a sense of excitement and freedom because she had gained something money couldn't buy: time. She dedicated that time to developing her skills, learning new techniques, and bringing her vision for a dream brand to life. Pouring her heart and soul into every step of the journey, she created Lemon Palms.
Lemon Palms is a reflection of Desi's personal style and creative vision. Every piece is thoughtfully designed and handmade by her using high-quality fabrics. The collections are fun, playful, and versatile—featuring adjustable designs that help achieve the best possible fit. Most importantly, each garment is something Desi would proudly wear herself, making the brand a true expression of her individuality and passion for craftsmanship.
Frequently asked questions
How do your dresses fit?
Each product page has a size guide with body measurements in centimetres. Our cuts run true to the guide. If you are between sizes or would like the fit adjusted, write to us — every piece is cut by hand, so small changes are often possible.
How should I care for silk?
We recommend gentle hand-washing in cool water with a mild detergent, or dry cleaning. Dry flat away from direct sun and press on a low, silk setting. Silk picks up scent and marks easily, so hang it to air between wears rather than washing after every one.
Where do you ship, and how long does it take?
We ship within the EU/EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. In-stock dresses are dispatched within 7-10 working days, tracked and insured. Shipping costs are calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.
What does "made to order" mean?
Some sizes are cut and sewn for you only once you order. They buy like any other dress, but please allow a little longer for delivery while we make yours.
Can I return a dress?
Yes — you have a 14-day right of withdrawal, as EU law provides. Please return dresses unworn, with any ribbons and packaging. See the Right of withdrawal page for the formal instructions and form. NOTE: All bespoke and customised pieces can't be returned.
